APMF 2016 to Focus on Embracing Technology in Marketing Campaigns

APMF 2016

The biennial Asia Pacific Media Forum is back this year, scheduled to be held in Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center from 11 May until 13 May with dozens of speakers from the advertising, marketing, media, and communications industries as well as the technology sector.

The event, which had been around since 2005 provides a platform for brand owners, communications specialists, and marketing practitioners to network and learn from one another the latest trends, best practices, and future outlook for their respective industries.

The digital assault on traditional media has left many publishers scrambling for strategies and finding ways to survive. Technological breakthroughs have enabled individuals to become authors and publishers and new businesses are empowered but at the same time threatened by the increasingly low barrier to entry. Internet-based platforms are continuously emerging, eager to replace older, less efficient ones.

This year’s APMF will feature a brand new exhibition called APMFtech aimed at acknowledging and promoting the technology solutions for today’s digital marketers. The three day exhibition will feature tech companies and products that offer greater value to a brand’s campaigns and promotions.

“Industry players must face not only competition from established entities but also the emergence of new technologies, disrupting old business models”, APMF Chairman Andi Sadha said in a press release.

“What determines whether you will come out as the winner is how sharp you are in setting up your strategy and playing the game”, Sadha said.

Among the dozens of speakers that will present at APMF in Bali this year include Spotify Asia Managing Director Sunita Kaur, Hakuhodo Kettle Co-CEO Kentaro Kimura, Unilever Indonesia President Hemant Bakshi, head of Creative Economy Agency Triawan Munaf, and NET TV CO and Co-Founder Wishnutama.

Some of the topics to be presented include the expansive marketing strategies for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the future of agencies, the role of music for brands, automated marketing, insights into Indonesian consumer behaviors, artificial intelligence, and many, many more.

To avoid missing out on the many exciting and insightful discussions at the event, be sure to register and purchase your tickets from the APMF website and don’t forget to arrange for your flights and accommodation.
