The pitch to win Indonesian telco XL Axiata’s digital account had boiled down to three finalists, AdDiction learned recently, and while it has yet to be officially announced at this stage, multiple sources revealed that the company has chosen two local digital agencies to take over the duties from Mirum Jakarta for 2015 and beyond.
In recent weeks, there was a rumor that Alpha Salmon had been selected by XL Axiata to pick up the responsibility from Mirum Jakarta, but it had apparently been inaccurate. Very close, but no cigar.
Took a while but we've been told alphasalmon is not the digital agency chosen by XL Axiata to succeed Mirum. Back to inquiries then.

As it turns out it was fellow STW Group stable mate Xion which had been chosen by the company. Whether Xion will draw resources from Alpha Salmon or Edge Asia, its two sister agencies, for the development purposes it has been chosen for, remains to be seen.
Xion took home the Gold for Daun Muda award at last year’s Citra Pariwara advertising award thanks to the hard work of Sarah Ramadhania Putri and Reza Putranta, both of whom also made it to the final five at AdFest Young Lotus competition earlier this month.
Aside from Xion, Think.Web is the other agency selected by XL and it will be handling the company’s social media presence and digital governance project. Think.Web recently unveiled a project to assist the vision impaired in enjoying YouTube videos, called YouTube for the Blind.
No further details have emerged for the time being.
