Saatchi & Saatchi Announce Appointment of Alex Tagaroulias as ECD

Saatchi & Saatchi today announced the appointment of Alex Tagaroulias as the company’s new Executive Creative Director after he helped the agency win a number of accounts since April of this year.

“Alex has come in and made an immediate impact these past four months – we’ve produced some great work for major clients, and won some exciting new business as well. Most importantly, he’s help re-energize the agency and instil a new sense of pride and passion in our work. He’s a great addition to Saatchi & Saatchi APAC’s impressive list of ECDs,” says Shannon Cullum, CEO for Saatchi & Saatchi Indonesia, Singapore, and Malaysia, in a statement.

Tagaroulias helped Saatchi & Saatchi bring Pertamina Oil and Gas, Air Asia, chocolate brands Silver Queen, Top, and Rock’r, as well as a new assignment from long-standing client Toyota. He was previously with McCann-Erickson in Singapore as a Creative Director and spent 15 years in Australia as a writer for a number of multinational companies.

“Jakarta is a chaotic, yet happy place. Perfect for creativity. And with Saatchi & Saatchi’s focus on creating international class work in this huge, fast growing market, this was way too good an opportunity to pass up. So I didn’t,” says the former copywriter at Ogily and Ward6 in Sydney.

Some of Tagaroulias’ work with Saatchi & Saatchi include the current Toyota Avanza and Bimoli Senses TV ads.
